Inspiration and Collaboration:
JADS Big Data & Dance Event
Wednesday the 7th of September our event Big Data & Dance took place in the chapel of our new Marienburg data science campus in 's-Hertogenbosch. More than 130 people; business relations, colleagues, students and professionals in the field of Dance & Big Data, attended this JADS-event.
Objective of the event was to bring together science and business and to network, transfer knowledge and inspire collaboration.
Chairman of the day and scientific director of JADS, prof. dr. Arjan van den Born started off with a clear introduction of JADS. Followed by Dr. Hannes Datta, Assistant Professor at Department of Marketing, Tilburg University about Big Data in the music industry. Find more insights on his talk here (free downloadable).
Martin Husovec, assistant professor at the department of Law at Tilburg University filled in a last-minute cancellation and actually did a great presentation about creating new strategies for the overall music industry.
After a short refreshing break Denis Doeland, founder of DDMCA, had an inspiring story about the digital change in the music industry.
After the talks there was time to network and exchange experiences over drinks & snacks in great ambiance with D.J. Classroom taking care of the music. We look back on a successful day.
