Generative AI is already part of everyday practice. Employees use Copilot, teams test chatbots, and vendors add AI features to existing systems. Once AI becomes part of processes, services, or decision-making, new questions arise: who is responsible, which outputs can you trust, and how do you safeguard privacy, data quality, and compliance?
In this masterclass, you will learn how to assess, organize, and govern generative AI more effectively. You do not need to know how to build a model. You do need to understand how AI works, where risks emerge, and what governance is needed to scale responsibly.
The AI Governance Masterclass is a short, in-depth program for professionals who do not build generative AI themselves, but are responsible for assessing, guiding, or governing its use.
You will gain a clear frame of reference for AI governance. You will learn how generative AI works at a high level, which risks are involved, and how governance builds on existing data governance. The focus is on understanding, assessing, and applying AI governance within your own organization.
After the masterclass, you will be better equipped to have informed conversations with IT, data, legal, risk, compliance, and leadership teams. You will gain the language and practical tools to assess AI initiatives more sharply and organize governance in a workable way.
Many organizations are experimenting with generative AI. This often starts small, with a tool, pilot, or vendor application. But once AI begins to affect processes, customer contact, decision-making, or internal information flows, the questions become more complex.
Which applications are responsible? Who makes the go/no-go decision? How do you assess risks around privacy, bias, reliability, and hallucinations? And how do you prevent governance from becoming a paper exercise?
This masterclass helps you steer with a clearer view. You will learn to ask better questions, recognize risks, and make choices that fit your organization, legal requirements, and responsibilities.
During the masterclass, you will learn:
After the masterclass, you will have:
This masterclass is developed for professionals who want to use, assess, or govern generative AI responsibly. You do not need to be a programmer. The program is intended for people who need to give direction to AI initiatives from policy, management, governance, risk, compliance, data, or leadership roles.
The masterclass is relevant for:
The masterclass consists of three sessions. Step by step, you will build insight into generative AI, governance choices, and practical application.
Session 1: Understanding the playing field
You will learn what generative AI can and cannot do. You will look at applications such as Copilot, chatbots, and AI agents, as well as risks around reliability, hallucinations, and data quality. Legal and ethical frameworks will also be addressed, including the EU AI Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Session 2: Designing governance
You will learn how data governance forms the basis for AI governance. You will work with themes such as frameworks, roles, ownership, decision rights, risk classification, ethical assessment, and collaboration between business, IT, legal, risk, and compliance.
Session 3: Operationalizing governance
You will translate AI governance into practice. You will explore monitoring, evaluation, human oversight, vendor management, governance of AI agents, common pitfalls, and success factors for responsible use.
Do you want to use generative AI responsibly within your organization? And do you want to understand how to organize risk, governance, and compliance in practice?
The AI Governance Masterclass helps you assess AI initiatives more critically, ask better questions, and make governance workable in your own organization.
