What will the kids do and learn?
Monday, August 17 (9:30 AM to 1:30 PM), Ctac, ‘s-Hertogenbosch
We kick off the week at Ctac, where children discover how technology is used to solve real-world challenges. They will build their own game or quiz, explore artificial intelligence, and meet professionals who work with innovative technologies every day.
Tuesday, August 18 (8:30 AM to 3:30 PM), Microsoft DreamSpace, Schiphol-Rijk
At Microsoft DreamSpace, children step into an interactive world of technology. They explore careers of the future, collaborate on creative challenges, and learn to program using tools such as micro:bit, Minecraft Education, and robots. The focus is on learning by doing.
Wednesday, August 19 (9:30 AM to 12:00 PM), JADS, ‘s-Hertogenbosch
At the Jheronimus Academy of Data Science (JADS), children discover how data and AI work together. They train their own AI model, take part in a treasure hunt, and explore questions such as: What should AI be allowed to do? And who gets to decide?
Parents and guardians are welcome to stay on campus during the program and make use of JADS’ workspaces and common areas.
Thursday, August 20 (8:15 AM to 4:30 PM), NEMO Science Museum, Amsterdam
We wrap up the week at the Netherlands’ largest science museum. Children take part in hands-on experiments, discover how technology works, and experience science up close. At the end of the afternoon, all participants receive a certificate during a festive closing ceremony.
Parents and guardians are warmly invited to attend the certificate ceremony from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM.

Looking back at 2025: Treasure hunt at JADS
At JADS, the children explored AI through a treasure hunt. Puzzle pieces were hidden throughout the building, and together they formed an AI robot. To collect the pieces, the children completed a series of challenges, including deciding whether statements made by the “broken” robot were true or false.
“The great thing about this activity is that children learn important concepts in a playful way, while also taking away a meaningful message,” says Aarnout Brombacher, Professor of Data, Sports and Health at JADS.
During the activity, the children worked together to solve a challenging puzzle while exploring the JADS building. Collaboration and problem-solving were at the heart of the experience, and it was inspiring to see how they supported one another and came up with creative solutions.
