21 kids explore data and AI during AI Summer School at JADS

Posted on

On Wednesday, August 19, JADS welcomed 21 children aged 9 to 12 to its campus in ’s-Hertogenbosch. Their visit was part of the AI Summer School for Kids, a four-day program that introduces children to artificial intelligence, programming and data in an accessible and playful way.

During their morning at JADS, the children got hands-on with data and AI. They trained their own AI model, took part in a scavenger hunt across campus and discussed questions around the responsible use of AI. What should AI be allowed to do, and who gets to decide?

Through activities like this, JADS aims to make knowledge about data and AI accessible to a broad audience. The campus is a place where education, research, organizations and society come together. That also includes young visitors who are curious about how technology works and the choices involved in using it.
