PhD Candidate

  • Research profile:Time Series Analysis
  • Research expertise: Machine/ Deep Learning

Jurgen van den Hoogen is a PhD Candidate in the Data Analytics unit at JADS. His research focuses on using Deep Learning techniques for Time Series data. In particular, he develops models that process time series data retrieved from vibration sensors in various domains. For example, vibrations measured from earthquakes to predict earthquake intensity and data retrieved from rotating machinery in fault detection cases. Furthermore, Jurgen is also involved with research combining Graph theory and neural networks.

Research Projects

JADS also participates in several (international) projects, which contribute to grand societal challenges like health, food security, smart transport and secure societies. Together with companies, government, NGO’s and other knowledge institutions, JADS works on solutions by using data.
