A beautiful place to work
The new JADS Mariënburg campus on Data Science is located at a historic and beautiful former convent in the heart of the medieval city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch and is within walking distance from the main train station. It is the place where academics with engineering and business/social science competences meet each other, and actively participate in a wide-spread innovative ecosystem.
The Mariënburg campus hosts aside from a beautiful aula, several lecture rooms, academic labs, student apartments, data start-ups garages, and corporate data labs. By mixing students, academics, and companies, JADS aims to cross-fertilize, innovate, and transform data into value-adding insights and wisdom to advance society at large.

Creating solutions on the crossroads of Technology and Society
The JADS Mariënburg campus hosts four academic disciplines along the basic Data Value Chain:
- (Applied) Data Engineering
- Data Mining & Artificial Intelligence
- Data Driven Decision Making
- Digital Entrepreneurship
Each discipline is addressed in a specific research group. To reinforce the JADS research groups, we are regularly looking for professors, associate-professors, assistant-professors, and tutors. We seek curious, open-minded researchers who want to excel in their field of research, but who are open to discussions with researchers from adjacent fields.

When you are working at JADS you will always be employed by one of our 2 mother Universities;
Tilburg University (TiU) and Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e).
Both Universities offer excellent terms of employment with attention to personal development and a pleasant work-life balance. Apart from the salary you will receive a holiday allowance and an end-of-year allowance. We offer a relocation allowance for expats and the possibility to apply for the 30% arrangement. TU/e and TiU have their own sport facilities at the campus, but as an employee of JADS you can also get a discount for the sport facilities at Sportiom in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
JADS Mariënburg: the place for passionate, high-impact and high-relevance academics
JADS Mariënburg currently boasts 160 employees, including support- and scientific faculty staff, EngD– and PhD students. We are intensively collaborating with both colleagues from Tilburg University and Eindhoven University of Technology. We foster a very strong and active, national and international network with both industry and academia, offering a great launching pad for quantitative data science/AI research and educational initiatives.
