A virtual tour across the ICAI locations

On April 22, ICAI celebrates its third birthday with the first official ICAI Day. In the spring of 2018, a couple of scientific researchers had an idea: stimulating AI talent in the Netherlands with bottom-up innovation and a lot of relevant stakeholders. ICAI was born. ICAI now has 23 labs and is aiming at 40 to 50 labs by the end of 2022.

Together with JADS, ICAI has organized the ICAI Day, a virtual tour to meet the various ICAI locations where you receive an update about their activities and research. Multiple start-ups will present themselves and at the end of the event you can meet and mingle via virtual drinks.

For whom is the ICAI Day?

This day is for those who would like to know more about how ICAI works, gain insight into ICAI labs, and meet AI start-ups. You can work in (non)profit or academia, if you would like to know and see what we do in the ICAI labs and around it, you are welcome to join and sign up!

What to expect?

The ICAI Day offers a diverse and interactive program. There will be two breakout sessions with six ICAI locations – Nijmegen, Amsterdam, Utrecht, Wageningen, Delft, and Eindhoven – to choose from. The various locations will tell about their labs, the collaborations between industry and academia, results and challenges. In the AI Startup Talkshow, Maurice van Tilburg (Managing Director Techleap), Koen Aarns (Founder Bluetick, startup from JADS Playground), and Rina Joosten (CEO of Seedlink) will share their views on AI and entrepreneurship. In a more extensive interview JADS and KPN will tell about their findings within the Responsible AI Lab. Host of the afternoon will be Nathan de Groot, online facilitator, day chair and trainer.
