JADS Community Event Recap: Unlocking the Potential of Generative AIPosted on
Tuesday 7 November 2023 marked another milestone as JADS hosted its second successful community event, delving into the world of Generative AI. The event, attended by 100 enthusiastic participants, brought together a diverse group of alumni, students, and business partners eager to explore the transformative power of Generative AI.
Building on the success of previous discussions on Open AI, this event was a deep dive into the practical applications and ethical considerations of Generative AI. On the agenda were insightful presentations, interactive workshops, and valuable networking opportunities.
- Keynote Journey: Arman van Lieshout, Product Manager at CM.com, took us on a journey through CM.com’s experiences with Generative AI. His presentation gave insights into the challenges faced by businesses adopting this technology and the valuable lessons learned along the way.
- Inspiring Alumnus: Stijn van Geene, the winner of the Tilaa Talent Fund Award 2023 and a JADS alumnus, shared his journey founding Verhaaltjesland. We showcased the innovative use of Generative AI to create personalized children’s books.
- Interactive Workshops: Attendees had the opportunity to participate in workshops led by academic experts and industry professionals. Topics ranged from leveraging ChatGPT’s potential to exploring the ethical considerations of Generative AI.
- Networking Success: The connections made during the event and drinks showed the value and vision of the JADS community. Guests took the opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals, students, and researchers, fostering an environment of shared knowledge and ideas.
